MRI Imaging

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is still our most powerful tool for diagnosing many orthopaedic injuries.  This test will be used from time to time when it is necessary to see the most detailed images of your bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Dr Thomas uses nearby facilities that are staffed by expert radiologists who specialize in reading and interpreting orthopaedic MRI scans. These facilities will assist in prompt scheduling as well as walk you through the entire process of what will happen during this test.  Most MRI scans will take from 30 to 45 minutes and can often be scheduled within the same or next day if necessary. The MRI images will be sent directly to Dr Thomas for his review so he can sit down and show you the details of your injury, and discuss your specific treatment plan.
